Enjoy Sweet New Plans For Valentine’s !

Some love Valentine’s Day, and want to celebrate with the whole package – flowers, chocolate, and a reservation for dinner. Others don’t care for the whole hoopla, and would rather stay in with their partners.

And there may be those currently unattached who feel stressed about all the red hearts and balloons that pop up everywhere.

But now there’s something different to add to your February calendar.

Have you heard of Galentine’s?

It all started with an episode on the popular and award-winning show, Parks and Recreation, where the main character (played by Amy Poehler), arranged a breakfast for her girlfriends – and mother – to celebrate their friendship.

That was back in 2010, but the idea took off in real life. Galentine’s – on February 13th – is now hugely popular, and a good excuse for women to gather with their mothers, daughters, nieces and girlfriends.

While the gift bags in the TV episode included a bouquet of hand-crocheted flower pens (thank the talented script-writer for that idea!), you could go one better and do something deliciously fun.

Like getting together with those you care about, and making mouthwatering chocolate truffles – or gourmet donuts with tasty fillings.

So, whether you celebrate Galentine’s with the girls, or want to treat your partner to something romantically different on Valentine’s, feast your eyes on our menu of decadent workshops – and give sweetheart a whole new meaning.

After all, as Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Peanuts, once said: “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
